  1. You use when if you are sure the boss is going to phone and if for just a possibility.
  2. as soon as gives the impression of more immediately that when.
  3. if means you'll see a doctor only if you think the problem is serious. In case means you think it might be serious, and you want to see a doctor as a precaution.
  4. until means I stop 'at the moment I get tired'; unless means 'if I am not'.
